I'm your IT helpdesk assistant β I handle a handful of common tasks. Just type in plain English; I'll ask for anything I need. Click any example below to try it.
Reset your own password or request one for someone else. A technician will review and follow up β I don't reset passwords automatically.
"reset my password"
"I'm locked out"
"reset the password for jane@example.com"
Pull a file from a backup snapshot. I'll walk you through picking the server, the backup time, and the file β you can click to browse folders instead of typing full paths.
"restore a file from yesterday"
"bring back a file from DC01"
"I deleted report.xlsx"
Check an Autotask ticket by number (format: T20250415.0042). Type the number alone and I'll pop up a clickable menu of four views β π Summary (AI synopsis), π° Latest (newest note only), π Full view (status + latest + earlier notes), or π Full history (every note, oldest β newest). Or skip the menu by asking for a specific view directly.
"T20250415.0042"
"summarize T20250415.0042"
"latest on T20250415.0042"
"show me the history of T20250415.0042"
List tickets by status (and, for MSP techs, by customer). The waiting filter includes anything stalled β waiting customer, customer note added, on-hold, pending 3rd party, non-response. Sorted by ticket number oldest first by default; add "newest first", "reversed", or "descending" to flip. Results paginate 25 at a time β click β next or β previous at the bottom to navigate. Click any ticket row to pop up the four-view menu for that ticket β no need to re-type the number.
"list open tickets"
"list open tickets newest first"
"what's waiting?"
"what's waiting on a customer?"
"open tickets for Parker Food Group"
"show me closed tickets"
If your issue doesn't fit one of the above β hardware, software installs, printer trouble, VPN, anything else β I'll open a ticket with the tech team. They'll reach out directly.
"my printer is offline"
"Outlook won't send email"
"I need to install Adobe on DC01"
"I just want to talk to a person"
If your admin has enabled voice features, you'll see a microphone button next to Send β hold it to talk, release to send. The π toggle in the header reads replies aloud.
Not seeing the mic? Or not sure if it's working? Run the diagnostics:
"i don't know" or "show me a list" any time and I'll surface available choices.
